(a): Yes, Madam.
(b): A study was conducted by the Government of Maharashtra in 2004 on the effect of windmills on monsoon circulations/rainfall by a Committee chaired by the Director, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune and other experts. The Committee, after considering various technical aspects, had come to a conclusion that the windmills have no effect on monsoon circulations/rainfall. The monsoon circulations is a part of large scale global atmospheric circulation (cloud dimension in Kilometers with cloud bottom over 1.5 to 2 km above surface) while wind mills operate close to the surface at 120 to 150 m heights and even with high turbulence the wind, after passing through the wind turbines, gain the original wind speed by natural atmospheric circulation, within a very short distance. Hence wind farms have no effect on monsoon cycle in the Country.
(c): Question does not arise.
