(a) to (c) : The Government has amended the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules 2011 vide GSR No 629 (E) dated 23.06.2017 wherein as per Rule 6(1)(aa) the name of the country of origin or manufacture or assembly in case of imported products including products imported from China shall be mentioned on the package. Further, as per the provisions of Rule 6(4A), of the said rules, a manufacturer or packer or importer can, in addition to the mandatory declarations, declare- Barcode or GTIN or QR Code on the package.
