Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT
(SHRI NARENDRA SINGH TOMAR)

(a) to (c): The Hon’ble Members of Parliament have identified 44 Gram Panchayats in Chhattisgarh under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana(SAGY). For the Gram Panchayats adopted under SAGY, Village Development Plans (VDP) are prepared through a participatory process under the guidance of the respective Hon’ble Members of Parliament. The VDP includes prioritised time-bound activities to achieve holistic progress of the village. So far 39 Gram Panchayats have uploaded their VDP on Saanjhi portal containing 3,145 projects as communicated by the Govt of Chhattisgarh. Out of these, 1,952 projects have been completed and 286 projects are in progress as on 12 July 2019.

Under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana framework, the development of Gram Panchayats has been envisaged through convergence and implementation of existing Government Schemes and Programmes under the administrative control of respective Ministries and State Governments. As such, data on funds provided to SAGY Gram Panchayats under different Schemes is not maintained centrally in this Ministry.
