Question : Regional Rapid Transit System

Will the Minister of URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) the current status of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) to connect Delhi with other neighbouring States; and

(b) the details of funds allocated, released and utilised for the aforesaid purpose during the last three years and the current financial year, year-wise and corridor-wise?

(a): The Feasibility Reports of the following three prioritized Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors have been prepared:

(i) Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar: 180 km
(ii) Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut: 90 km
(iii) Delhi-Sonepat-Panipat: 111 km

(b): The funding pattern for implementation of the individual RRTS project has not been decided as the corridors have not been sanctioned.
