(a) Whether the Government have received any application for exclusive marketing rights (EMR) under TRIPS;
(b) If so, the number of such applications and the products for which such EMR applications have been received; and
(c) the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) and (b): Indian Patent Office has received one application for grant of exclusive marketing rights (EMR) for the product titled `Pharmaceutical Compositions` stated to be useful for the treatment of diseases caused by retroviruses filed by M/s F.Hoffmann La Roche AG, Basle, Switzerland.
(c) The above EMR application is under process. No EMR has yet been granted.
