Question : INCLUSION OF CASTE IN ST LIST

(a) whether the demand for inclusion of Kurumba, Kurumbar, Kurumban, Kuruba and Kuruma communities in the ST list is pending with the Government;

(b) if so, the reasons therefor; and

(c) the time by which the said communities are likely to be included in the ST list?

(a) No Sir. The demand is under scrutiny by various authorities.

(b) Does not arise.

(c) The process of revision of lists of Scheduled Tribes is on , however, no time frame can be given.
