Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to formulate new policy/programme on social awakening regarding Unani System of Medicine; and
(b) if so, the details thereof including the time by which the said policy/programme is likely to be implemented?

(a) & (b) : The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) engages in creation of social awakening among general public through its various programmes:
• IEC activities like Arogyas, Health Melas, Health Camps and Exhibitions.
• Extension health services like Mobile Healthcare programme and School Health programme.
• The Council is also creating social awakening regarding Unani system of medicine through Two specialized programmes namely, Integration of Unani Medicine in NPCDCS and SCSP / TSP Programme.
The National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) has proposed the exhibition at BDA complex Nagabhavi and involving various schools for health check-ups with the aim to socially awaken masses for Unani Medicine Treatment, and the programme will be completed in the ongoing year 2019-20.
