(a), (b) & (c) Government has received request to develop
Rupsi airport in Assam. However, Bodoland Territorial
Council (BTC) has requested for a greenfield airport at
Kokrajhar, which is at a distance of about 50 kms from
Rupsi.The site identified by BTC for greenfield airport at
Kokrajhar was not found suitable after the feasibility study
conducted by the AAI. The other two sites identified by BTC
are yet to be evaluated.
