Question : Green Energy Corridor

(a) whether Andhra Pradesh has been identified as one of the States for Green Energy Corridor;
(b) if so, the details of target set for transmission lines, sub-station capacity, etc. along with achievement so far;
(c) the manner in which the Government addresses the issues, if any, relating to forest clearance, right of way, etc.; and
(d) the time by which the said corridor is going to be completed in Andhra Pradesh?

(a) &(b) Green Energy Corridor - Intra-State Transmission System, Phase-I scheme is under implementation in eight States including Andhra Pradesh. Against the target of 1073 ckm of transmission lines and 2157 MVA of substations in Andhra Pradesh, 702 ckm of transmission lines and 635 MVA of substations have been completed.
(c) The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is monitoring the progress of projects under Green Energy Corridor - Intra-State Transmission System, Phase-I scheme with the implementing agencies of the States on regular basis to resolve issues affecting the progress of the projects. The concerned authorities in States are regularly requested to resolve issues related to Right of Way (RoW), forest clearances, etc.
(d) On the request from the implementing agency, namely Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited, the timeline for commissioning of transmission projects under Green Energy Corridor - Intra-State Transmission System, Phase-I scheme has been extended up to 30th June 2022.
