(a) the details of memorials built in various parts of the country in the memory of brave soldiers;
(b) whether the Union Government is aware that the memorials are not being properly maintained;
(c) if so, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the action taken or proposed to be taken by the Union Government for the proper upkeep of these memorials?

(a) to (d): The memorials in the memory of brave soldiers can be built by any individual citizen, agency, state governments etc. Details of such memorials are not maintained by the Government of India. The maintenance of memorials is the responsibility of the individual or authority which has built them. A list of 24 war memorials built and being maintained by Army HQrs is enclosed as Annexure.
