(a) whether the Government has opened mobile dispensaries in the country under the
Centrally Sponsored Scheme;
(b) if so, the State-wise details thereof;
(c) the number of such mobile dispensaries opened in Maharashtra during the last three
years; and
(d) the State-wise details of such dispensaries proposed to be opened in the country during
the current financial year?

(a) & (b) No, Sir. However, under National Rural Health Mission, all States/UTs are being
provided one Mobile Medical Unit in every district for taking health care to the people
especially in difficult to reach areas. As per the proposals received. from States, 18
States/UTs have been released funds for provision of MMUs. State wise funds release is Annexed.
(c) & (d) The Government of Maharashtra have planned to convert 172 flying squads functioning
in the tribal areas into mobile dispensaries under NRHM. Also, the State has proposed for
Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) for 33 districts in the State.
