(a) whether the Government has implemented Swadesh Darshan Scheme for infrastructure development projects of tourist destination;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the tourist circuits established under this scheme in various States, State-wise;
(c) whether the Government has allocated and sanctioned funds under Swadesh Darshan Scheme; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the details of funds allocated to various States/ UTs under this project, State/UT-wise including Bihar?

(a) to (d): Yes, Madam. The Ministry of Tourism has launched the Swadesh Darshan scheme in the year 2014-15 with a vision to develop theme based tourist circuits on the principles of high tourist value, competitiveness and sustainability in an integrated manner by synergizing efforts to focus on needs and concerns of all stakeholders to enrich tourist experience and enhance employment opportunities. Under the scheme thirteen themes have been identified for development, namely: North-East India Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Himalayan Circuit, Coastal Circuit, Krishna Circuit, Desert Circuit, Tribal Circuit, Eco Circuit, Wildlife Circuit, Rural Circuit, Spiritual Circuit, Ramayana Circuit & Heritage Circuit.
The details of projects sanctioned till date under the scheme including the State of Bihar are annexed.
