(a) whether the Government proposes to privatise small arms factories under Ordnance Factory Board and outsource certain products;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the rationale behind such decision;

(a) to (d): At present, there is no proposal to privatise small arms factories under Ordnance Factory Board including ordnance factory at Tiruchirappalli. The Department in consultation with stakeholders has categories 143 items of the Ordnance Factory Board as non-core items which are to be sourced from vendors.
