Question : Funds for Welfare Schemes of SCs- BTC Sector

(a) the amount of funds allocated to the State Government of Assam and Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) by the Ministry during the last three years and the details of areas where the funds have been spent;

(b) the schemes under which the funds have been allocated along with the number of people who have benefited from this in BTC sector; and

(c) the schemes being run by the Government for the scheduled castes and other backward classes and the details of the people who have benefited from these schemes in BTC sector?

(a) to (b): The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment implements several welfare schemes. Ministry does not maintain segregated data for Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). However, list of the welfare schemes being implemented by this department in Assam alongwith details of the funds allocated/released and number of beneficiaries under these Schemes during the last three years and the current year is given at Annexure-I.
(c):The list of schemes is being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is given at Annexure-II.
