(a): The top ten industrialised States ranked in terms of Gross Value of Output for the year 1999-2000 are given below. The data on industrial production state-wise is not maintained centrally. However, as per the latest Annual Survey of Industries Gross value of Output and the number of workers engaged, State-wise are as below:
