Question : LEGISLATION ON THE SECURITY AT AIRPORT

(a) whether the Union Government have prepared any draft legislation in regard to the security of airports in the country;

(b) if so, the details in this regard;

(c) whether any survey in regard to the security arrangements at various airports of the World has been conducted;

(d) if so, the details in this regard; and

(e) the time by which the proposed legislation is likely to be introduced in the Parliament?

(a), (b) and (e): A new comprehensive Civil Aviation Act is under preparation. There will be a chapter on Civil Aviation Security in the new Act.
