Question : Maths Board Exams in 2016

(a) whether it has come to the notice of the Government that the question paper for 10th standard CBSE Mathematics 2016 Board Examination was tough to the students and was out of syllabus;
(b) if so, the action taken thereon;
(c) whether the Government is aware that the question paper for 11th standard CBSE Mathematics 2016 Board Examination was tough for the students and was out of syllabus;
(d) whether the Government has conducted any enquiry with regard to the complaints about the Examinations; and
(e) if so, the details thereof along with the action taken by the Government to protect the interest of students?

(a) and (b) : This has come to the notice of the Government through newspaper reports during the Board exam of 2016. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had placed the matter before Committee of Subject Experts who concluded that the question papers were based on the curriculum, syllabus and sample questions papers prescribed by the Board.

(c) to (e): CBSE does not conduct Board exam for the 11th standard.
