Question : WOOD BASED INDUSTRY IN NORTH EAST REGION

(a) whether a number of units of wood panel based industry in North East Region particularly in Nagaland are on the verge of closure due to certain extraneous circumstances;

(b) if so, whether any financial assistance has been extended to revive them; and

(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a),(b) & (c ) Presently there is no proposal to extend financial assistance to wood based industrial units in North-Eastern States including Nagaland for revival if they become sick.
