(a) whether various sports in the country are lagging behind due to unavailability of sports equipments to sportspersons; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the sports equipments have been bought from abroad during the last three years; and (d) if so, the names of the countries and agencies from where such equipments were imported and the details of the payments made for such imports?

(a) & (b): No Sir. Elite athletes preparing for international competitions are provided with State-of-the-Art Sport equipments and infrastructure. Government also supports National Sports Federations for equipments and consumables for national coaching camps.
(c) & (d): Yes Sir. Information relating to import of equipments by Sports Authority of India is given at Annexure.
