(a) As per the information furnished by Government of Maharashtra, the details of land irrigated during 2013-14 was 32.60 lakh ha. The district wise details are at Annexure-I.
(b) The detail of expenditure incurred under Bharat Nirman isat Annexure-II.
(c) No target has been fixed by the Government of Maharashtra. However Government of Maharashtra has appointed a Water and Irrigation Commission which has estimated the ultimate irrigation potential at 126 lakh ha. [Through Surface Water-85 lakh ha. and Ground Water addition 41 lakh ha.]
