(a) whether the Government has achieved the target to give house to each family in Supaul district of Bihar under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY); and
(b) if so, the number of beneficiaries allotted houses under this scheme during current financial year?
(a) & (b): So far, 4,730 houses have been sanctioned for Supaul district of State of Bihar against the total demand of 10,128 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban Mission and 1,009 houses have been sanctioned to the beneficiaries during current financial year.
Ministry of Rural Development has reported that out of cumulative allotted targets of 56,833 households during financial year 2016-17 to 2019-20 for Supaul district of State of Bihar under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin, 36,063 households have been sanctioned. Further, 27,043 households have been allotted to Supaul district during current financial year.
