Minister of State for Revenue in the Ministry of Finance (Shri S.S. Palanimanickam)

(a) No, Sir.

(b), (c) & (d) The proposal, Mumbai Urban Infrastructure Project (MUIP), envisaging an outlay of Rs.2648 crores including Central Government`s proposed share of Rs.1324 crores, was duly examined. However, the proposal was not agreed to as it was not found feasible to support huge capital investment envisaged under the project on account of fiscal stress of the State.
