(a) & (b) : The energy demand forecast is made by the Central Electricity
Authority (CEA) through periodic Electric Power Survey (EPS). CEA, through its
17th EPS, has made year-wise short term demand forecast upto 2011-12 and
long term demand forecast for the terminal years of 12th and 13th Five Year
Plans i.e. 2016-17 and 2021-22. The details are as under:
