(a) the total number of tourism resorts operating by the Government in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise including West Bengal;
(c) the total amount of funds allocated/utilized for construction of such resorts, State/UT-wise; and
(d) the number of tourist resorts sanctioned/constructed during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise?

(a) & (b): Construction and operation of hotels is primarily a private sector activity. However, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Tourism operates a tourism resort, Hotel Pondicherry Ashok, Puducherry, a Joint Venture between ITDC and Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development Investment Corporation Ltd.
(c): At present there is no scheme in the Ministry of Tourism for construction of resorts.
(d): Does not arise.
