(a) whether there is a proposal to accord higher priority to complete the doubling of railway line between Solapur and Pakni ;
(b) if so, the estimated cost of the project; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to complete the line expeditiously ?

(a) : No, Sir. The traffic on Solapur-Pakni section has not yet reached the level where it merits doubling of the section. Therefore, the proposal for doubling of line between Solapur and Pakni is not being considered by the Railways at present.
