(a) to (c) : The Minister of Human Resource Development
had made a Statement on the floor of the Rajya Sabha on
21.3.2005 regarding a Comprehensive Action Plan on the
Inclusive Education for Children and Youth with
Disabilities. The existing scheme of Integrated
Education for the Disabled Children (IEDC) will be being
revised and renamed as Inclusive Education for Children
and Youth with Disabilities. Further, it has been
decided to set up a Standing Committee of the Central
Advisory Board of Education (CABE) for monitoring the
implementation of the action plan for the children and
youth with special needs.
