(a) to (c): Ministry of Rural Development is implementing the following two schemes for entrepreneurship promotion among rural youths under National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM):-
(i) Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) :-Skill development through Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs), thereby enabling the trainee to take Bank credit and start his/her own Micro-enterprise. RSETI is being implemented across the country through Lead Banks of the district and presently there are 583 RSETIs in the country. The trainings are provided in 61 National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) aligned trades.
(ii) Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP):- The objective of the scheme is to help the rural poor to set-up enterprises at the village level in non-agricultural sectors. Besides providing start-up capital, a cadre of Community Resource Persons-Enterprise Promotion is set up to provide business support services to enterprises.
(iii) Under RSETIs programme 23 lakh persons have been trained for self employment. An amount of Rs. 100.02 crore has been earmarked for implementing RSETI during the financial year 2019-20.
For the SVEP programme, AAPs have been approved for 153 blocks across 23 States up-to 31st October, 2019. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been approved in 120 blocks in 21 States. As per the approved DPRs, 1.93 lakh enterprises are targeted for formation over a 4-year period. As on 31st October, 2019 a total of 69,991 enterprises have been set up. An amount of Rs. 100 crore has been earmarked for implementing SVEP during the financial year 2019-20.
