(a) whether his Ministry has formulated any policy after consultation with State
Governments to help the farmers to come out of loan trap having less than ten acre of
un-irrigated land; and
(b) the names of the States with which his Ministry has held consultations in this
regard during the last one year?

(a): No, Sir. However, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and National Bank for
Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in consultation with the Ministry of
Finance have formulated One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme for chronic overdues of
loanee farmers.
(b): Question does not arise.
