(a) whether the Government proposes to ban cultivation and use of arecanut in
the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government has taken into account the serious livelihood
issues of a large number of arecanut growers in case of such a ban; and
(d) if so, the steps proposed to be taken by the Government to address their
grievances?
