Question : Coal Supply to Thermal Power Stations

(a) the year-wise details of quantum of coal supplied by the Government to thermal power stations of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan;
(b) whether the Government has received any proposal from the State Governments regarding shortage of coal supply and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the States have surplus quantity of coal for thermal power and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the details of quantum of coal supplied to industries and private sector in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan?

(a): The total coal supplied by Coal India Limited (CIL) and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to thermal power stations of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra for the year 2019-20 & 2020-21 (up to Feb, 2021) is as below:
