Question : PENDING PUNISHMENT CASES

(a) whether cases of major punishments are pending against some of the senior officers of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC);

(b) if so, the details thereof and action taken against such officers;

(c) whether the officers who were ought to be punished have been promoted by the Commission and thus rewarded; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b): Disciplinary proceedings for major punishment have been initiated in 17 cases involving 13 officers. Out of them, 7 cases have been completed by imposing punishment and in the remaining 10 cases Departmental proceedings are in progress.

(c): No, Sir.

(d): Does not arise.
