(i) West Godavari:
As per the information received from Government of Andhra Pradesh, the 30 submergible habitations of Polavaram Mandal under Polavaram Irrigation Project have been divided into two Phases allotting 8 habitations to 1st phase and remaining 22 habitations to 2nd Phase (3 Depopulated).
There are 2584 Project Displaced Families (PDFs) in the 1st phase and 3329 PDFs in the 2nd Phase.
Details of the compensation and other benefits provided are as follows:
• Land to land for an extent of Ac.3341.67 has been acquired with an amount of Rs.140.59 crores and provided to 2305 ST PDFs of first phase.
• An amount of Rs.124.20 crores has been disbursed to 2584 Project Displaced Families towards Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) benefits of first phase.
• 1555 houses have been constructed for 2584 PDFs of the 1st phase.
• Land to an extent of Ac.547.44 was acquired and allotted to PDFs of 2nd phase as house sites.
Further, in 2nd phase it is proposed to provide individual benefits, housing and infrastructure facilities in 20 R&R colonies.

The time line for implementation of above said relief for 2nd phase habitations is 31.03.2018 as intimated by the State government.
(ii) East Godavari:
As informed by the State Government, the Project Administrator for Polavaram Irrigation Project has presently planned to set-up Rehabilitation & Resettlement Scheme for 50 habitations up to +41.15 contour of the Project.
Draft R&R Schemes have been prepared for 9 villages in accordance with the provisions under the “Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitations and Resettlement Act, 2013” covering 7419 PDFs out of which 1204 PDFs have been rehabilitated.
Further, there is provision for the following entitlements:

1. Choice of annuity per family 5,00,000.00
2. a) Subsistence grant for displaced family for a period of 12 months @ Rs.3000 pm 36,000.00
b) with Additional grant of Rs.50,000/- for STs 50,000.00
3. Transportation Cost 50,000.00
4. One-time Resettlement Allowance 50,000.00
5. a) One time financial assistance for cattle sheds (or) 25,000.00
b) Petty Shop/Kirana/ Pan Shop 25,000.00
6. One-time grant to artisan Small traders and certain others. 25,000.00
Other provisions are as under:
• A housing unit as per IAY specifications to each eligible Project Displaced Family.
• Amenities like drinking water, CC Roads & Drains, School buildings etc. in the resettlement colonies.
• As per Second Schedule of the Act 30/2013 (Vide Sl.No. 2), the tribal land-loosers will be provided land equivalent to the land acquired (or) Ac.2.50 whichever is less.
• So far, an amount of Rs.22.60 crores has been disbursed to the rehabilitated 1204 PDFs towards R&R entitlements. Further, an amount of Rs.7.09 crores has been incurred towards civic amenities in the R&R colonies. An amount of Rs.18.50 crores has also been disbursed as Addl. Gratuitous Relief in terms of G.O.99 I&CAD, dt.01.02.2016.
• Further, an extent of Ac.2111.88 is identified towards Land for Land in favour of the tribal land loosers and out of which Ac.486.73has been acquired.
• 21 R&R housing colonies have been proposed for resettlement of ST PDFs and one colony for non-ST PDFs. Seven colonies for ST PDFs have been constructed.
The establishment of R&R colonies is planned to be completed by 31.05.2018.
