(a) the number of dwelling housing units allocated for construction, constructed and allotted in Satara District of Maharashtra under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during each of the last three years and the current year;
(b) whether the targeted housing units have been completed in the State;
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the time by which the targets are likely to be achieved?

(a) The number of dwelling units allocated for construction, constructed and allotted in Satara District of Maharashtra under PMAY-G is as under:

(b) & (c) Under PMAY-G, a total target of 15.05 lakh houses have been allocated by the central government to the State of Maharashtra till financial year 2021-22, out of which 10.43 lakh houses have been sanctioned by the state to the beneficiaries. First installment of funds has been released to 9.86 Lakh beneficiaries and 7.78 lakh houses have been completed as on 09.03.2022. During the period of Covid-19 pandemic, all construction activities including construction of houses under PMAY-G were also affected which retarded the pace of construction of PMAY-G houses. Besides, the delays are also due to delay in release of Central & State Share from State Treasury to the State Nodal Account of PMAY-G, cases of unwillingness of beneficiaries, migration, delay in allotment of land to landless beneficiaries by the States/UTs and at times General/Assembly/Panchayat elections.
(d) The timeline for completion of PMAY-G is March, 2024.
