(a) the number of districts identified by the Union Government under Jal Shakti Abhiyan across the country including Bihar;
(b) the number of districts in Bihar where ground water level is very low in comparison to the other districts of the State; and
(c) the State-wise details of the outcome of the programmes conducted from 1st July to 15th September, 2019 under Jal Shakti Abhiyan.

(a) The Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been launched in 256 water-stressed districts of the country including 12 districts of Bihar.
(b) As per Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) Report - 2017, in 12 districts of Bihar level of ground water is critical/ over-exploited.
(c) The outcome of JSA is improved water conservation and outcomes/ benefits is expected to be visible in the long run.
