Question : Drinking Water and Sewerage System in Rajasthan

(a) whether the Government has formulated any plan for drinking water and sewerage laying scheme for any city in Rajasthan during the last three years;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the funds allocation, district-wise; and

(c) the details of the works executed in the said cities after utilisation of the said funds, city-wise?

(a). Government of India launched the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)on 25 June, 2015in 500 selected cities across the country. The Mission period is five years from the financial year 2015-16 to 2019-20. The Mission aims at providing basic infrastructure in the cities with focus on water supply; sewerage and septage management; storm water drainage; non-motorised urban transport; and development of parks and green spaces. The Mission is being implemented in 29 cities /towns of the State of Rajasthan.

(b) and (c). The State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs)under AMRUTof State of Rajasthan,approved for the entire Mission period, is ?3,223.94 crore including committed Central Assistance of ?1,541.95 crore, of which ?871.43 crore of Central Assistance has been released so far. Under AMRUT, Central Assistance is not released city-wise or project-wise.

The city-wise details of works taken up by the Government of Rajasthan under AMRUT in 29 AMRUT cities of Rajasthan are placed as Annexure.
