(a) the number of cold storages including those for mangoes operational in the country, as on date, State/ UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh;
(b) the present capacity of these cold storages, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, district-wise;
(c) the number of new cold storages of mangoes sanctioned and set up during the last five years, State/ UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh; and
(d) the reasons for not setting up the sanctioned cold storages so far?

(a) & (b): District-wise data for Number and Capacity of Cold Storages is not maintained centrally. However, State-wise number and capacity of cold storages including those for mangoes created in the country including Uttar Pradesh as on 31st December, 2019 is at Annexure – I.
(c) & (d): Assistance is provided for setting up of cold storages in the country under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme of Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) scheme of Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
State/UT-wise number of new cold storages sanctioned during the last five years including those for mangoes in the country including Uttar Pradesh as on 31st December, 2019 is at Annexure – II. All cold storages sanctioned till 2018 – 19 have been setup and cold storages sanctioned during current year are in different stages of construction.
