Question : Illegal Construction

Will the Minister OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has conducted a review of illegal construction in various flats allotted under various housing schemes in Delhi;


(b) if so, the details thereof;


(c) whether the cases of complaints made in Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and other related departments regarding illegal construction are lying pending and such departments have prepared list in some cases of illegal construction and forwarded it to the competent authority for further action; and

(d) if so, the area-wise details of action taken by DDA against the houses identified for illegal construction?

(a) to (d) : Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that in certain DDA flats additions/alterations beyond the permissible limits have been noticed. The details where notices have been issued, as per procedure, for violations are given below:

(i) Dwarka zone – 83 numbers in different sectors.
(ii) Dwarka Project -7 numbers
(iii) Rohini Project -3 numbers
(iv) Model Town - 5 numbers
(v) Mandakini - 1 number
(vi) Rangpuri, Vasant Kunj - 1 number
(vii) Paschim Vihar - 2 numbers
(viii) Netaji Subhash Place Pitampura -3 numbers
