Question : AIR SERVICE IN TRAINS

(a) whether Prasar Bharati proposes to entertain passengers on select trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi by introducing the AIR service via worldspace satellite;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether any agreement has been made with Railways for providing the service;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether the Railway Board has made some reservations against provision of such a service; and

(f) if so, the reaction of the Prasar Bharati thereon?

(a): Yes, Sir. Prasar Bharati proposes to introduce Live Radio Service on board the trains of Indian Railways via World Space Satellite, on an experimental basis.
