ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND
FAMILY WELFARE
(SHRI ASHWINI KUMAR CHOUBEY)
(a) No panel of hospitals is made under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) for providing treatment.
However under PMSSY, new AIIMS are set up in various States/UTs and existing Government Medical Colleges are upgraded to provide super speciality medical care facilities.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) & (d) Under PMSSY, six (6) existing Government Medical Colleges in Maharashtra have been taken up for upgradation. Apart from this, the Government is also setting up an AIIMS at Nagpur in Maharashtra.

Details of projects taken up under PMSSY in Maharashtra and fund released for these Projects are given in Annexure.
(e) & (f): The Medical Colleges taken up for upgradation in Maharashtra under PMSSY are under Administrative control of the State Government. Hence, running of the facilities created under PMSSY is the responsibility of the State Government. In view of the above, Government has not fixed any discretionary quota for the public representative in this regard.
