(a) & (b) Jammu-Akhnoor-Poonch Section is National Highway No.144A. The Jammu-Akhnoor section has been entrusted to National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for its development and maintenance. The NHIDCL has invited the bids for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR). The construction work of four laning to be taken up based on the outcome of DPR. The Akhnoor-Rajouri-Poonch section is entrusted to Border Roads Organization (BRO) for its development & maintenance and at present, there is no proposal for 4-laning of this stretch.
