(a) to (c) During the 4th meeting of the India-Sri Lanka Joint Working Group on Fisheries
on 13-14 January 2013, both aides agreed to encourage a continued dialogue process between the
fishermenâs communities of the two countries through regular meetings. In this context,
Government has approached the Government of Tamil Nadu to indicate dates for the meeting at
the earliest.
Government continues to remain engaged with the Government of Sri Lanka to ensure that
fishermen on both sides can continue to pursue their livelihood in a safe, secure and
sustainable manner.
