Question : SIHOR DEVAS NATIONAL HIGHWAY



(a) the total amount sanctioned for the reconstruction and strengthening of Sihor-Devas National Highway by the Government;

(b) the total amount released to the State Government so far;

(c) the remaining amount to be released to State Government; and

(a) Sihore-Dewas section (km. 43 to 151) of NH-86 Extension has been entrusted to Madhya Pradesh Rajya Setu Nirman Nigam Ltd. (now called Madhya Pradesh Road Developement Corporation ) in April, 2002 for upgradation. An amount of Rs. 25.60 crore for improvement of riding quality of the above section was sanctioned by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for execution as a deposit work.

(b) An amount of Rs. 20.57 crore has been released to Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation so far.

(c) The remaining amount to be released is Rs. 5.03 crore.

(d) Funds are being released by NHAI as and when the vouchers of utilisation are received by them depending on the admissibility of the amount involved.
