(a) whether the Government has made it mandatory to buy reserved tickets for the passengers of general coaches of trains;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor; and
(c) whether the Government has taken any steps to facilitate the passengers of general coaches and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): In view of Prevailing Covid-19 conditions in various parts of the country, presently the general coaches in long distance Mail/Express trains are being booked on reservation basis as second sitting reserved.
