(a) whether a large number of petrol pump owners in the capital have made massive encroachments on the public land;
(b) if so, whether any survey has been conducted in this regard;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government have decided to take strict action against those petrol pump owners and remove all such unauthorised constrution; and
(e) if so, the details in this regard?

(a)to(e): Government have received reports about alleged
encroachments by petrol pump owners in the capital. A Survey
Committee headed by Chief Vigilance Officer of Ministry of Urban
Development, and comprising senior officers of the DDA, L&DO and
other local agencies, has been constituted to look into each and
every case at site and submit its report by 31st August, 2000.
Further action would be taken on receipt of the report.
