(a) the status of projects planned for the Smart Cities in Tamil Nadu since the inception of the programme in 2015 and details thereof, city-wise;
(b) the reasons for delay in implementation of integrated water and sewage management, if any and the details thereof, city-wise;
(c) the status of implementation for piped gas projects; and
(d) the projects to be implemented in 2020 in the cities chosen from Tamil Nadu and expected dates of completion, city-wise?

(a) The City-wise status of projects in 11 Smart Cities of Tamil Nadu under Smart Cities Mission (SCM) is given in Annexure-I.
(b) There is no delay in implementation of Integrated Water and Sewerage Management projects under SCM.
(c) None of the Smart Cities in Tamil Nadu have taken up piped gas projects under SCM.
(d) The projects being implemented by Smart Cities in Tamil Nadu are expected to be completed within five years from the date of their selection which are as follows:
• Chennai & Coimbatore (Round-1) by March 2021.
• Madurai, Salem, Vellore and Thanjavur (Round-2) by February 2022.
• Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Tiruchirappalli and Thoothukudi (Round-3) by June 2022; and
• Erode (Round-4) by January, 2023.
