(a) & (b): The Department of Tourism, Government of India grants Central financial assistance to State Governments/UT Administrations every year for identified projects for development of infrastructure and promotion of tourism in the country. The proposals for the year 2002-03 will be finalised in consultation with all the State Governments including Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttaranchal.
