Question : Number of Teachers in Training Centres

(a) the number of Institutes which are providing Skill Development training in the year 2019-20;

(b) the number of teachers, trainers along with the students who have got admission therein;

(c) the number of such persons who have got employment after receiving training in such institutes during the last two years;

(d) the number of new courses proposed to be introduced and new centres proposed to be set up in the coming years; and

(e) whether now ITIs are likely to be sanctioned for this purpose and if so, the number thereof?

(a) Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 2016-20), till now, 13,209 training centres (TCs) have been empanelled for imparting short duration skill development training in the Country. Under the domain of long term training, 15,697 ITIs are providing vocational training in the Country.

(b) Under PMKVY (2016-20), as on 17.01.2020, 74.70 Lakh candidates have been enrolled in the Country. Under domain of long term training, 38.74 lakh candidates have been trained through ITIs during last three years i.e 2016-18.

(c) Under PMKVY (2016-20), 7.04 lakh and 5.04 Lakh candidates have been reported placed during FY 2018-19 and FY 2019-20 respectively.

(d) Under PMKVY (2016-20), 1800 + job roles have been introduced.

(e) Under PMKVY (2016-20), ITIs along with other institutes are empanelled under the category of ‘Government/Non-Government’.
