(a) whether the Government proposes to increase the grant for construction of houses in rural areas under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G);
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the number of houses which are proposed to be constructed in Kerala under this Scheme during the next two years?

(a) & (b): Under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G), the unit assistance has been increased to Rs. 1.20 lakh (from Rs. 70,000 in the erstwhile Indira Awaas Yojana) in plain areas and Rs. 1.30 lakh (from Rs. 75,000 in erstwhile IAY) in NE States, hilly States and difficult areas including IAP districts.
(c): Under PMAY-G, the number of houses proposed to be constructed during 2017-18 and 2018-19 in Kerala are 18,090 units.
