(a) whether most of the air sports equipments such as aircraft, specialised parachutes, helmets, batteries, and radio aids are imported;
(b) if so, the details of the initiatives taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to bring in import duty waiver for such equipments for a specified period; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

The proposed National Air Sports Policy (NASP 2022) is in draft stage. It was released in January 2022 for public comments. The Government has received several comments from the public on the draft NASP 2022 and the same are currently being considered. There is no specific proposal in the Government for providing tax incentives to promote air sports.
