(a) whether the Government has conducted any assessment of the quantum of water received by the country from the rivers flowing from Nepal;
(b) if so, the details of the outcome thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the annual average quantum of water received from these rivers and utilised by the
States, State-wise?

(a) & (b) On an average, 200 Billion Cubic Meter (BCM) of water is received from the
rivers flowing from Nepal in the Ganga basin.
(c) Does not arise.
(d) A total of 42.060 BCM storage capacity (live) has been created with construction of storage
schemes by the Ganga basin States.
